Terms of use
The deal
These terms are the agreement between you and zothcorp, llc for using the Homework app and this website. Using either means you accept them. If you do not, do not use Homework.
Last updated . zothcorp, llc, 2618 Outrigger Ln. Naples, FL 34109 United States.
Your account
You must be at least 13 to use Homework. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian’s permission.
You sign in with your phone number, and you are responsible for what happens under your account. One account per person. Do not sign in with a number that is not yours.
What you may not post
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour on Homework. Squads are small and private, which makes it more personal, not less serious.
Do not post, write, or dare anyone to do:
- Anything sexual, and absolutely nothing sexual involving a minor.
- Harassment, bullying, threats, or content that humiliates or degrades someone.
- Hate speech, or attacks on people for who they are.
- Violence, self-harm, or anything encouraging either.
- Anything dangerous or illegal, or a dare that puts someone at risk of injury.
- Someone else's face, home, or private information without their agreement.
- Content you do not have the rights to, or that impersonates another person.
This applies to the chores you set as much as to the clips you film. Setting someone a chore is asking them to do a thing on camera — the rules cover what you ask for, not just what you post.
Reporting, blocking, and what we do about it
Every clip, chore and person in the app has a Report action. You can also block anyone in a squad you share: blocking hides their clips from you, hides yours from them, and stops them setting you chores.
We review every report within 24 hours. Where content breaks these rules we remove it, and we suspend or delete the accounts of people who post it — without warning and without a refund where the breach is serious. We do not need to explain a removal in advance, and we may act on something we find ourselves rather than waiting for a report.
If something needs attention faster than the app allows, or you think we got a decision wrong, write to us.
kirk@skate85.aiYour content stays yours
You own what you record and write. You give us permission to store it, process it, and show it to the people in the squads you posted it to — which is what makes the app work and nothing more. We do not use your clips to advertise Homework, and we do not show them to anybody outside your squad.
One take, no do-overs. There is no delete and no second attempt. That is a product rule and the app is built so it cannot be got around. It applies to you as much as to everyone else, so treat posting as final. What happens to your clips when you delete your account is set out in the privacy policy, and it is worth reading before you post rather than after.
The subscription
The app is free. Thirty-day plans are a subscription: $9.99 per month, with the first week free. The exact price in your currency is shown on the purchase screen before you buy anything, and that screen is the authority.
Payment is taken by Apple, not by us. The subscription renews automatically each month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it renews. We send you a notification the day before a free trial ends, so you are never charged without hearing from us first.
Cancel in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. If you start a free trial and buy the subscription, any unused part of the trial is forfeited, which is Apple’s rule rather than ours.
Refunds are handled by Apple through your purchase history — we cannot issue them. We may change the price, and if we do you will be told before it takes effect and can cancel.
Plans are generated, and are not professional advice
Thirty-day plans and daily exercises are written by a language model and reviewed by a person before anybody sees them. They are a structure for practising something, not instruction from a qualified professional.
Nothing in Homework is medical, health, legal or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for any of them. If a plan involves physical activity, check with a doctor first if you have any reason to. You do every exercise and every chore at your own risk, and you are responsible for deciding whether something is safe for you to do. Do not do anything you are not comfortable doing, whoever dared you.
Ending it
You can delete your account in the app at any time, on the You tab. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we may stop offering the service. If we close your account for something you did, you are not owed a refund for the rest of the period.
The legal part
Homework is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available or free of faults, and to the fullest extent the law allows we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you have paid us in the previous twelve months. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States. If you are a consumer, you keep the rights your local law gives you and nothing here takes them away.
Apple is not a party to this agreement and has no responsibility for Homework, but Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
Changes
If we change something that matters we will change the date at the top and say so in the app. Carrying on using Homework after that is how you accept it.
